Troy Callahan was born and raised in Queens , NY and completed his undergraduate studies at the State University of New York at Stony Brook. After obtaining a degree in Chemistry, he continued on to study at the Mt. Sinai School of Medicine in New York , earning his doctorate degree in Medicine.
Dr. Callahan subsequently completed a five-year General Surgery residency at Maimonides Medical Center in Brooklyn . In addition to this, he was a post-doctorate surgical research fellow at the University of California in San Francisco and was awarded a National Institutes of Health training grant in Trauma and Burns.
Dr. Callahan subsequently completed his Plastic Surgery training at Nassau University Medical Center in East Meadow, Long Island . After concluding this rigorous training program, Dr. Callahan additionally received further training in a Hand Surgery fellowship with the prestigious Long Island Plastic Surgical Group.
Dr. Troy Callahan is Board Certified by the American Board of Plastic Surgeons and is the director of the Northern Jersey Plastic Surgery Center in Paramus , NJ . He performs cosmetic and reconstructive surgical procedures at several hospitals and facilities including Hackensack University Medical Center , Englewood Hospital Medical Center and Holy Name Hospital .
